Insurers required to submit workers' compensation medical billing data

The Department of Consumer and Business Services (DCBS), Workers' Compensation Division is providing a list of those insurers who had at least 100 accepted disabling workers' compensation claims in the previous calendar year, as determined by the director, and are required to submit detailed medical service billing data to the department on a quarterly basis. Insurers who are not required to submit medical service billing data may choose to do so provided the medical service billing data is submitted in accordance with the provisions in Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR) 436-009-0030(10). DCBS will annually notify insurers when they are required to submit medical service billing data.

Insurer medical service billing reporting requirements are described in Bulletin 220, or contact the Department of Consumer & Business Services, Information Management Division, Research and Analysis Section, 350 Winter St. NE, PO Box 14480, Salem, OR 97309-0405, (505) 378-8254.

Note that the list of insurers who are required to submit medical service billing data is no longer available in Bulletin 220, but is provided in the following list or by contacting the department. This list is effective as of June 13, 2007.
