Employer-at-Injury
Program (EAIP)
The employer-at-injury program is designed to encourage early return to work by helping employers
use transitional work for injured workers who are recovering from their injury. The benefits
include wage subsidy, worksite modification and a number of work-related purchases.

Preferred
Worker Program (PWP)
The preferred worker program helps qualified Oregon workers called preferred workers get
back to work. Preferred workers can offer Oregon employers a chance to save money by hiring
them. Some of the benefits of the PWP are premium exemption, claim cost reimbursement, wage
subsidy, worksite modification, and a number of work-related purchases.

Vocational
Assistance
The insurer or self-insured employer may provide vocational assistance to an injured worker.
An injured worker may qualify for vocational assistance if s/he: 1) has a permanent disability
caused by the on-the-job injury, 2) cannot return to the job at injury or another job with
the employer-at-injury that pays at least 80% of the pre-injury wages, and 3) s/he is authorized
to work in the United States.

Vocational
Providers
Vocational Providers may not provide vocational assistance services unless they are registered
by the director. The provider must submit an application that includes a description of the
specific services to be provided and verification of staff certifications.
