Call for Presentations
17th Annual Oregon Workers’ Compensation Educational Conference
The Oregon Workers’ Compensation Division invites you to submit a presentation proposal for the 2019 Workers’ Compensation Educational Conference, Oct. 17 and 18, to be held at the Red Lion on the River – Jantzen Beach. Interested presenters must submit proposals by Friday, May 17, 2019, to Kara Null.
The Oregon Workers’ Compensation Division, with sponsorship from the International Workers’ Compensation Foundation, coordinates an annual Educational Conference for participants in the Oregon workers’ compensation system. The conference is designed to enhance understanding of the workers’ compensation system and improve processes and services that affect injured workers and employers.
For an idea of our past presentations, here is the list of 2018 workshop descriptions. The conference attendees include employers; providers; insurers; service companies; attorneys; vocational rehabilitation consultants; workers; and managed care organizations.
Proposed presentations should inform attendees or share success stories and best practices relevant to Oregon Workers’ Compensation. Presentations are NOT an opportunity to sell a product or service. We will offer continuing education credits, so many types of presentations are welcome along with those aimed at a broader audience.
The proposal should include the following:
• Name, contact information, and brief bio of presenter(s)
• Name and contact information of person submitting the proposal, if different than above
• Title and description of presentation
• Two learning objectives
• Presentation style (e.g., PowerPoint, facilitated discussion, panel, etc.)
• Description of the significance of the topic and its relevance to conference attendees
For questions or more information, contact Conference and Training Coordinator Kara Null.
We will notify presenters by email about their proposal status by Monday, June 3, 2019.
