Worker safety and Oregon OSHA compliance: Oregon OSHA rules considers a worker leasing company jointly responsible along with the client company for ensuring worker safety and health. Oregon requires its licensed worker leasing companies to have written procedures establishing how the leasing company will ensure that its clients follow the requirements of ORS Chapter 654 of the Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Act. This section should demonstrate that the PEO is ensuring that its clients are providing the leased workers with the appropriate training, supervision, and instruction in safety and health to meet Oregon OSHA requirements (ORS 656.850).
