The 2023 Oregon Legislature passed two bills that will require corresponding revisions to some workers’ compensation rules:

• Enrolled HB 2696 establishes licenses for sign language interpreters, to be issued by the Health Licensing Office.

• Enrolled HB 3412 expands the treatment authority of physician assistants.

NOTE: This rulemaking is limited to implementation of 2023 legislation. We will separately invite participation in the usual annual review of the fee schedules and issues affecting medical services and managed care organizations.
