Your role in workers’ compensation

A variety of medical professionals contribute to getting injured workers back to work quickly and safely.

A matrix explains health care provider types and their roles and responsibilities in the Oregon workers’ compensation system.

Notice: In an effort to improve the timeliness of resolving medical disputes, you can fax your disputes to the Medical Resolution Team. This will help decrease review time by 48 hours or more. When faxing your submission, please use a cover page clearly identifying your facility. Thank you.

Chiropractic physicians, naturopathic physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician associates must certify to the Department of Consumer and Business Services director before they treat any patients with Oregon workers' compensation claims.
